Printing Styles
There are several printing processes available - each with a very different look and feel. The most common are outlined below.
Flat Printing - Our in-store printing process. We use high quality, professional ink-jet printers. This is the most reasonably priced product. We also offer this method through our Rita Rena Book from William Arthur.
Thermography - a very popular method for stationery today, this process is about half the cost of engraved invitations, but gives a similar look and feel. The method fused ink and powder together to create the raised letters, the way that engraved printing has raised letters. We currently offer this method through our Birchcraft, Carlson Craft, and Crane books.
Engraving - the most traditional and formal of the printing processes. This is the most expensive printing method. Engraving is an old process where paper is pressed onto a metal plate, leaving the letters slightly raised on the paper. We currently offer this method through our Crane and William Arthur books.
